Horseback tours and Snake River whitewater rafting are two of the most popular activities, but the possibilities are truly endless in Jackson Hole. In addition to everyone’s favorite activity – shooting with the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience – we’ve narrowed down the top seven ways to get your summer vacation started.

Itinerary Day 1: Horseback Riding Set out into the hills in the morning for a two-hour horseback ride, followed by a scenic float trip on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park.

Itinerary Day 2: Yellowstone National Park Explore the monumental Yellowstone National Park on a full-day guided tour with an experienced guide. Take in views of the park’s abundant wildlife, including bison, elk, grizzlies, wolves, eagles, and more.

Itinerary Day 3: Grand Teton National Park Visit the stunning Grand Teton National Park, tour the park with an expert guide who will tell you more about the area’s geology, wildlife, and history. End your day with a free gondola ride to The Deck at Couloir Restaurant, located at the top of Bridger Gondola in Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Enjoy Happy Hour from 4:30 – 6:30 Sunday through Friday.

Optional Itinerary Day 4: Guided Hiking Tour For our sample four-day itinerary, we recommend the above three-day agenda with the wonderful addition of a guided hike on your fourth day. Walk through the areas surrounding Jackson Hole with an expert guide, who can tell you about the flora and fauna, and geological history. Hikes range in exertion from easy to advanced, but all offer beautiful views and a unique experience. Follow this with a luxurious, relaxing massage and you’ll be perfectly rested and just in time to return home.

Optional Itinerary Day 5: Guided Fly Fishing Combine our recommended three and four-day itineraries and then, on day five, let an expert guide take you fly fishing on the Snake River. You’ll float the beautiful waters while your guide shows you the best secret spots and fishing holes.

Optional Itinerary Day 6: Covered Wagon Cookouts & Live Music – Take in the Old West atmosphere while enjoying dinner and a show with Bar T 5. These horse-drawn covered wagons will take you into the breathtaking Cache Creek Canyon for an evening of endless, savory home-cooked food and magnificent entertainment. After dinner, the Bar T 5 Band will take the stage and fill the night with music that will make you want to dance. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the memories.

Optional Itinerary Day 7:  Mountain Adventures Experience – the thrill of Jackson Hole with one of many heart-pumping, outdoor mountain adventures. Test your fear of heights and hand-eye coordination on Snow King Mountain Resort’s Treetop Adventure Course, or feel the wind in your hair on the Cowboy Coaster or Alpine Slide. Travel the rough Wyoming terrain on a guided ATV tour, or take the family whitewater rafting on Snake River. Experience the adrenaline rush one activity at a time.
