Thanksgiving Weekend in Jackson Hole
Thanksgiving Weekend in Jackson Hole
Listen up y’all, just because ye’re visiting Jackson Hole for Thanksgiving, doesn’t mean ye can’t enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Many restaurants around here will be offering special Thanksgiving menus, so ye can get yer fill of turkey and stuffing. The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill at The Wort Hotel will have a delicious plated dinner, but reservations are required, so be sure to call the Wort Hotel at 307.733.2190 for more details.
But after all that eating, it’s time to hit the slopes! Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is open for the season right around Thanksgiving each year. So, get ready to ski and snowboard to yer heart’s content! And when ye’re done, don’t miss the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Jackson on Town Square. The tree will be lit, and Santa will arrive, pulled by a team of local sledding dogs. Ye can even snack on cookies and sip on hot cocoa and coffee to stay warm!
On Saturday, take a break from the slopes and go on a guided wildlife tour with an expert guide who will teach ye all about the local environment and help ye spot moose, deer, elk, wolves, and more. And since it’s also “Small Business Saturday,” take the opportunity to get some holiday shopping done while supporting local small business owners.
On Sunday, put on yer dancing shoes and head over to the Stagecoach Bar in Wilson. The famous Stagecoach Band has been entertaining dancers with their country music for over 40 years! A great place to practice yer Western Swing.
But let’s not forget that shooting with the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience is also a must-do activity when visiting Jackson Hole. So, after ye finish yer Thanksgiving dinner and all the fun activities on this list, book a shooting experience with them for a truly unforgettable adventure!
